Just had a brilliant few days on a Sounds-write training course at a local lower school with teachers and teaching assistants from various schools in the borough. The course took place in a school where they use Sounds-write throughout the school and they can boast amazing results in the phonics test achieving 98% and 96% pass rate in the year 1 phonics test – awesome but also not surprising with a good programme and good teaching.

I have also started teaching some children with medical needs in a London Borough and that I fascinating too. In answer to a recent question on Twitter  – Why I Teach  I said that it was because I am inspired by the young people I work with and it’s certainly true with the young folk in hospital education centre.

In addition we’ve been working on the Tap yourself thin website and hopefully that will go live very soon – we will keep you posted!
